All research plans for the science fair at Tech are due! That will be the last step in our hard work toward progress! We have worked so hard, and Friday everything will be set to go! The judging will be Saturday morning, and results will be announced Saturday night . Wish us luck!

We finally have all the problems worked out about the Tennessee Tech Science Fair! We are so excited about our work being shown and representing our school. I will give more information later about where to set up and when.
We had two tests today-math and reading,and I know the pressure was on . My students have come a long way, and I know the grades will be good! They are ready to get back to work, and so am I! Study for that spelling test this week!

Another day out for snow.....I actually have students texting me that they are tired of being out! That's a sign that we have been out too long! If we go Friday, we will still have our spelling test and our Island of the Blue Dolphins test. I know we are ready to take those. And I am sure we will still have our Valentine popcorn and movie event in the afternoon. See you then!

We had so much fun today on our field trip,even thoigh we had to cut it a little short because of the weather. I am still working on the SCIENCE FAIR material. It is more complicated than I thought because the forms have to be submitted on line,so the parents are going to have to help with the info!We can work together! Thursday is the big test on Island of the Blue Dolphins. I have given each student the questions and vocabulary to study.Then it will be back to the main reader and Titanic! I can't wait!

It was great coming back to school and all our friends today! We had our spelling test, and tomorrow we have that math test that I have wanted to give for so long. I will finally get to send folders home with grades and the schedule for tests for next week.I will also be sending home materials explaining the rules and guidelines for the Science Fair. Each student is required to enter and will receive two test grades for their entry and presentation. I will be going over all materials and procedures with the students next week, and their choice of project must be in to me by next Friday with allthe appropriate forms filled out and signed....

What a busy day...The social studies test was given today, and my students felt confident that their grades were good. I will grade them tonight , and I will see for myself. I can't wait!I was selected for the Upper Cumberland Writing Project this summer! I feel so honored, and my students gave me a lot of support before my interview! Thank you for that!!!!! I will use their work and enthusiasm for my writing prompts to share with other teachers in surrounding counties. Next Thursday is our field trip. I need those permission slips!!!!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...........

Well, open house was, in my opinion, a success! Parents asked questions and voiced concerns about many things, and I really enjoyed listening to them. Thanks to all the parents that said such nice things about our teachers and our school! We couldn't do any of it without you!
I am so proud of my students for the wonderful grades on the science test! Kyle, Elizabeth, and Cameron made the highest grades, but the whole class worked hard and did a fantastic job!!!! Way to go!
